San Ramon to offer employees early retirement

Original post made on Apr 5, 2013

This is absolutely absurd! It sounds a lot like those "you have to spend more to save more" programs. Give me a break!

I have NEVER found a city or state employee worth the salary we pay them let alone their retirement package! If only I could have a city job making over $200,000 a year, then I could make these absurd rules and you can follow them. Then, I'll charge you a small stipend - only 4x's your current salary (plus the city's fee for services), but I'm worth it. You believe me, don't you?

I've got a much better idea! It's time to justify your jobs, your positions, AND your salaries... otherwise, you're FIRED! Silly paper pushers!

It's about time you got real jobs and opened your own companies or had your own businesses. Find value in YOU. City workers don't provide services or make "revenue." They are just more tax collectors on us hard working American business owners/workers struggling to make it in the real world - outside the government's pot. It's really easy to make the rules, when you don't have to follow them!

Hey people---check out the multi-digit salaries of ABAG and MTC!! They too are NOT worth the waste of OUR money!

I'm curious what the average city employee makes. Anyone care to post? I hate to really express my thoughts before I know all the facts. Thanks
