Wow! This is the second incident in a short amount of time of irresponsible police work...

First, a young man is able to kill himself in the Martinez Detention Facility and now a man they say "escaped" was just found walking away from the jail...

How much of this is really his fault?! This guy sounds like someone who would be better served putting in community hours helping others than sitting in a jail cell costing cost taxpayers a fortune. He just walked away from the jail and continued walking... Who could blame him?!

@ralist?... are you joking? "How much of this is really his fault" you ask? It's ALL his fault. Guys like you who make excuses for guys like him is part of our societal problem. How many "good boys" do you know who commit burglaries and then escape from jail? Not his fault, huh? I promise you this won't be his last scrape with the law. I only hope that the people he hurts in his future aren't my friends or family. He won't "walk away" from that.

Why are perpetrators always portrayed as the victims? How would you feel if you came home to find that your home had been ransacked and burglarized? Oh the poor fellow who committed this crime, poor guy wasn't locked up properly, sorry, our fault. Oh, actually it's the fault of the police. I am so sure this young fellow would be a REAL victim if he was ordered to do community work. After all what about his civil rights?
