Please attend Tuesday, May 17 7:30 p.m. Planning Commision meeting on SummerHill Homes development

Original post made by SOS-Danville, Danville, on May 7, 2013

Please attend the Danville Planning Commission's Tuesday, May 14th, 7:30 P.M. hearing at the Danville Community Center (in front of the public library) on SummerHill Homes 69+ home proposal for the Diablo Road corridor.

Like the Elworthy Ranch development now being built by KB Homes, this project is for the dense residential development of land designated in the Danville General Plan for Agricultural use. We believe that under Measure S passed by 75% of Danville voters in 2000 that the project requires a public vote if approved by the Town. The Town, however, has been publically stating that no such vote is necessary; the claim is that since the Town government denied a public vote on the Elworthy Ranch development, they can do it again for SummerHill.

Don't let your right to decide be taken away! Please come to the hearing and tell the Commissioners that you want your vote!
