Trial begins for former sheriff's deputy accused in dirty DUI case

Original post made on Aug 22, 2013

According to the charges Tanabe "enticed the men to get drunk". So, if someone entices me to get drunk and drive it's not my fault?

From prior reports, here's how it worked:
1 -- unscrupulous divorce lawyer contacts PI Butler, esp. if contentious custody battle is in prospect;
2 -- Butler hires impossibly hot, way-out-of-his league bims to approach husband at restaurant;
3 -- they flirt, drinks all 'round, and eventually suggest the lucky mark follow them to a hot tub or other site just down the road for sextra-curriculars;
4 -- deputies await mr. lucky, pull him over, as the taillights of his luck recede into the distance.
5 -- DUI charge renders him pliant in custody proceedings, because Think of the Kids!
6 -- client pays handsomely, bims and deputies get their cut and ...
7 -- Profit!

Most people think that's very dirty pool, criminally so if proved. Your mileage may vary, but if so, I pity your spouse.
