West Nile Virus found in third bird in Danville

The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District announced that an American Crow infected with West Nile virus was found near the intersection of Bradford Place and Del Amigo Road. Other birds have also been found in Bethel Island, Brentwood, Lafayette and Pittsburg.

Please walk through and check your yard for any standing water. Help us all out!
Move stuff and look! (I just found some water that I was unaware a stack of plant pots, but no mosquitos.)

Then ask your neighbors to check their yard, for you as a personal favor.

Applying DEET, every time we go outside, is NOT a realistic answer.
