Not one name of a suspect and this is considered journalism?
Hey Dave Ramsey, what do you expect...it's the Danville Express Rag.
They have no clue what Journalism is about.
Thanks for listening, Julia Pardini from Windy Alamo.
Lol--sure sign when names are not mentioned they are "minorities."
Yeah!!!! Keep getting the idiots that are killing our loved ones!! You go Narcotics Teams!! We need your help badly here and surrounding San Ramon, Alamo, etc. This is where it all starts. The gateway drug which leads some to the gateway to he*l/heaven. This is an epidemic and hurting so many families everywhere including right here in Danville, San Ramon etc. Thank you for putting effort into this from the bottom of my heart! This means so much to me and many others I know.
Darrin, could you BE any more of a bigot?
Besides, a few more years and marijuana will be legal here too. In my opinion we should be going after real crime like hard drugs which contributes significantly to violent crimes, unlike marijuana. And before any of you old school Danville republicans can make a snap judgement about me for advocating legalizing marijuana - no I don't smoke or do drugs. This town sometimes.....
I heard they are all white dudes.
LOL -Yeah, they are all white dudes named "Darrin."
And "Darren" and "Darryn."
I agree with Joe on this one. It will be legal in this state in the coming years which will benefit the state in many ways. All of the money, time, and energy put into the prevention of weed can be focused on harder drugs. Marijuanna is by no means a gateway drug that is the most ludicrous statement I have ever heard.
Debora please look up how many people have died from marijuanna and then compare it to deaths from alcohol and then get back to me.. Which one is currently legal?
Drunk people make bad decisions and often fuel most abuse and domestic violence cases. High people wont hurt a fly and want nothing to do with any violence. Not to mention the benefits on a medical level...
Julia, for someone who hates the freedom-hating "liberal" journalism of the Danville Express, you certainly spend a good portion of your life sifting through it
Ok Richard, next time you or your.loved one needs serious medical treatment then I think you won't mind having the Doctor who just smoked a bowl or joint to do your open heart surgery or maybe when your kid needs a ride to school and the gal next door offers to take your kid and she obviously just smoked some weed well you won't mind! Oh your wife needs a ride to the hospital after having your newborn child because you are at work and the baby is in need of urgent care, well your buddie who watches football with you and enjoys smoking pot because it helps him to relax and eases his anxiety has offered! Geez I am so glad you feel so comfortable with these situations and with legalizing marijuama, these folks will still have a job, a reason to live and you will have great friends with benefits. OMG! What a friggin idiot!
In all your imaginary hypotheticals, just substitute "alcohol" for marijuana.
You'll see that no new danger is presented by legalization of marijuana.
Just as with alcohol, driving or operating under the influence is still wrong and punishable.
Do doctors get drunk before surgery? No didn't think so, so what makes you think they would get high? Can you get drunk before going to work? So what makes you think businesses will let there employes smoke before the job? As Farmer Dave said all of those senarieos are WORSE when you replace the high friend with a drunk one. I would rather have a high driver drive me around then a drunk one any day of the week, month, year.. However it will still be a DUI if you are driving under the influence of marijuana. There will still be laws in place to prevent dangerous situations.
At the end of the day when it becomes fully legal your opinion wont matter. You might as well get over it now and educate your self on the benefits from legalization of marijuana. Tax revenue, Jail space opened up, more jobs, cartels out of business, and thats just the tip of the ice berg.
You hateful people! Don't read this if all you can do is judge!
I see merit (as well as issues) in both sides of the "legalize marijuana" debate, but one thing that makes it difficult to deal with "under the influence" use of marijuana is the lack of a test that correlates well with the "degree of stoned-ness", for lack of a better term. With alcohol, there is a pretty good correlation between impairment, and a reasonably-recent measure of blood-alcohol level. But it is my understanding that there isn't any practical way to determine how much someone is impaired by marijuana. Test's for marijuana in the blood are good for dtermining if the person has smoked or ingested marijuana in the past (days, weeks, etc.), but I don't think there is any way to differentiate between someone who used it days ago, and someone who is currently high. This leads to an all-or-nothing legal environment.
Even if marijuana is legalized, I would think that MANY employers would continue to have a no-tolerance policy, especially in occupations where the safety of others is a concern (e.g. doctors, as one obvious example, but also extending to things like commercial truck drivers, heavy machinery operators, and even carnival ride operators :-) ).
Hey Belle...what on earth do you think comments are for. You may be a YES person but we are NOT. It's YES people like you that put fools into office. Yes I am talking about the fool in the White House and all the other fools you type of people put into local offices.
And Dickita, you say a goo portion of my time....my, my, my...it only takes a minute or two to read the DE...there are 24 hours in a day...two minutes to read the rag and 23 hours and 58 minutes to live life. By the way what is a Dickita???????
Don't miss out on the discussion!
