BART officer dies after being shot by fellow officer in Dublin

A BART police officer accidentally shot and killed by a fellow officer while conducting a probation search in Dublin Tuesday afternoon was a 20-year veteran of the department.

Who was the officer who did the killing? Is he (at least) on administrative leave pending investigation?

Most importantly, what do this incident and others involving BART police tell us about the adequacy of BART police training?
