Will Storer be discussing the SOS-Danville lawsuit against the Town for its illegal approval of the 69-home SummerHill development in the Diablo Road area? The public is demanding its right to vote on that environmentally appalling mess under Measure S passed by 75% of Danville voters in 2000.
Voter- I sure hope not- that lawsuit has no merit.
It is so sad that the best we can do for a mayor in this town is a builder/developer of high-density homes? Talk about the fox guarding the chicken coop! Anyone out there want to run against this guy in November 2014?
Local Resident- Mayor Storer is a developer of much needed housing for senior and disabled individuals in Danville- definitely not high density. He is the real deal, give him a chance, his track record sure deserves our community support.
Storer tried to designate in the 2030 General Plan the entire downtown of Danville as a "Priority Development Area" ("PDA") for high-density housing. The entire town had to rise up against him and the rest of the Council to get that out of the Plan in the final adopted version. Now we find out ABAG has nonetheless designated the downtown as a PDA, and Storer refuses to put it on the agenda for a meeting.
Storer has had too long of time in Danville government. He was appointed (not elected) to Council and before that he was on the Planning Commission. He approved the hideous monstrosity that KB Home is building on Elworthy Ranch ("Quail Ridge"---as if there would still be a quail living there after KB is done). He approved the SummerHill Homes Magee Ranch development despite massive opposition. And he got his own project of high-density homes through the approval process.
We have got to get him off of the Town government. NOW.
Hey @local resident huh........be glad to give him a chance, if he was elected to the Council.......not appointed by our "BOBBLE HEADED" developer loving incumbants !!!
Storer was on the Planning Commission when he got his high-density development approved. How's that for fairness?
Does anyone know if Storer is running for Council this November 2014? I heard Karen Stepper is running again. She favors high-density housing and goes along with whatever ABAG wants in Danville. She has developer friends that she is listening to.
We gotta help Stepper to stepher self out of her Danville Council Seat. She's a shoe in for a position on the K&B Board of Directors though, they love Bobble Heads !!!
Don't miss out on the discussion!
