unqualified spray crews burnin up REDWOOD TREES

Original post made by steve on Apr 15, 2014

VILAGE PARKWAY/ALCOSTA Eastman Kodak property they built some new homes and put in a small part like 15 years ago they also plan it like 60 or 70 Redwood trees and they grew to about 50 feet tall either MCE or PBG gardening city crews then sprayed six-foot rings around all the dead trees and smoke them again. When our city formen or people who observe what these hired landscape companies do should've stopped all sprain in that park years ago over doing is killing broadleaved weeds oh forgot also Redwood trees the preeminent around the fence lines for some chemicals now that affect tree roots all the labels a note (legume) and that's all well do you know what a legume is? Well that's 80% of all trees and plants anything that makes it nut. I guess that's what we get for low bid. In Dublin San Ramon they blame the recycle water out think that's the case maybe the camps and the water but I don't think it's the water in Livermore along Portola and N. Livermore Blvd. these guys have sprayed all the suckers around the Redwood trees for the last few years I can't believe it this year they have some new suckers growing out sole monitor that see when they spray again all the trees on the hillside on the north side are all smoke some the laying down for the week control is just burn amount down near first Street on the north side trees on Livermore side of the wall are just burned up less than 6 feet away a giant redwood looking great surviving off the yard's water Livermore blames low water table are you kidding the trees in the park by the big barrel in the grapes of the corner. Just burning them up to some of them trees are the hundred years old and nobody notices or says anything I just don't see it. Yet MCE and PBG and one or two other companies do all the latest around and all the apartments I Kimbrough down by 711 giant red which are used three of him for kimbro st. The tree closest to the lawn burned up the other three farther back only half the tree is burned up all the trees of their parking lot are just fine. 711 off Alcosta in San Ramon. We'll back to Livermore were: first Street the giant monument Redwood tree has been cut down by the vacuum cleaner corner the two that are left are just burned up seems to me they spray that big grassy lot with milestone or something like that the roots sucked it up and when they spray they drifted on impossibly if we didn't get rain the wind blew the chemicals on the tree and somebody needs to wake up Livermore blames low water table Dublin San Ramon blame recycle water the head of the recycle water department says the tree shouldnot be there anyway, they beat her down so bad over the year. The biggest thing is the chemical companies to disguise the trees as let go's Dow Chemical is guilty of that for sure sows the Gordon chemical company and DuPont got in trouble for killing trees back east. Everybody like any more insider place to check out.sducci@att.net San Ramon is tree city USA go to the park behind the new Walmart and you won't think so have a good week671 clear

sorry last post I did about the redwood trees I forgot to spellcheck it I just started using the Dragon voice command. So you obviously I go on forever about the trees I just don't know what these people ability at if they did blame the water all this chemical is just killing broadleaf weeds they should stop all spraying everywhere there was any tree issues. And look at the part behind Walmart you could still see the burn of rings today two weeks ago. And all the tree roots are in the lawn Walmart parking lot trees in back by wall get the same water park. Oh don't forget about the tree in front of Dublin Police Department they put Christmas lights on it but couldn't last year it would've caught fire. They planted a blue spruce. Why do little spellcheck and that's good enough. 12 years experience. 671 clear

Hello my name is Steve I am a vegetation technician and work for Alameda County for the last 12w years, I have a lot of experience with this type of chemicals. I have dealt with DOW AGRO chemicals company and how their labels are very vague regarding trees of any kind and that they will definitely kill legume and leguminous trees at very low application rates. The labels are misleading and their representatives give you the wrong information where it should be used. This is to all the golf courses in the tri-Valley and all of Alameda County. I live on the 11th hole of the San Ramon Valley golf course and in the past year my neighbor has taken out two redwood trees about 30 feet tall and the one behind it is also damaged and there are many REDWOOD TREES and other trees throughout the whole course that I checked out yesterday, that are showing signs of THIS CHEMICAL. This chemical is for farms which they managed between crops and range land to keep it clear from broadleaf weeds. This kind a chemical should not be put anywhere around any homes. The label states rinse water should be discarded onto a designated disposal area, or if unavailable onto unused land away from desirable plants and water courses. and you are using all our homes and properties as unused land away from trees. The people that live on the downhill slope of the course as I do, are having issues with the trees. On the 12th hole down on the left side there are three trees of a different kind, are suffering from the same issue it looks like lontrel or speed zone. It was band in 2002 in California from residential use when 65% of compost samples tested positive for CLOPYRALID It is a herbicide sold under the trade name lontrel, confront, transline, and many more. these herbicides are all members of the pyridines group. The product has disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action. also such compost or mulch made from plant material treated with lontrel will cause damage to other plants, the grass is mulched every time it's cut and you keep feeding the chemicals to all the trees and sending it into the ground into our yards a chemical that shouldn't even be here. So all of you need to make changes regarding this issue soon.I suggest no fertilizing the lawns and no more chemicals for 2 years and see if all of these trees recover fully. For San Ramon golf course this e-mail is going to go out to most of the people that live on the course. For Castlewood country club all of your giant redwood trees are just burning up ,nothing to do with the water it's the chemicals. I noticed today April 30 that you had about four pallets of fertilizer that was outside your building I would suggest not using that at this time, to see if these trees recover and I'm letting many of your members also know this issue. Golf course in Livermore have many injured trees and we know many have been removed. The golf course in Hayward off industrial Boulevard is using lontrel. That's why all your redwood trees are deformed. There is a bridge that you can drive across with a car on the east side of that bridge is a perfectly good looking redwood tree with small broadleaf weeds all around it. About 30 feet away near the green there are two deformed redwood trees with no broadleaf around them. We can't kill all our trees just to have broadleaf weed free lawns. I am going to leave a link so you can read about clopyralid. sducci@att.net

Other areas to look at the damage trees, the village green park at Alcosta and Village Parkway more than 50 redwoods and a few other trees. The senior citizen center off alcosta 12+ trees dead many injured. Amador Lake apartments look at all three entrances to the apartments, they get worse as you head south because there is more ground cover behind the redwood trees and they are putting some kind of granular weed control in the ground cover areas which that's where the redwood tree roots are, and many others are damage throughout the complex. The rule is do not apply any chemicals fertilizers nothing around damaged trees. Also the Pleasanton sports Park all the redwood trees on the north side of the park all have a certain color and burn look to them. All those redwoods are going to look like the ones that are in the park near our house at Village Parkway and Alcosta Boulevard behind the new Walmart where the old Eastman Kodak building used to be.
