Contra Costa unemployment rises 0.2%

Unemployment rates in the Bay Area increased slightly from May to June, bucking a downward trend statewide, according to data released Friday by California's Employment Development Department.

1 -- statistical blip?.
2 -- new college grads?
3 -- some of those mythical legions of discouraged job hunters the Republicans keep crowing about, coming back to the labor force?
4 -- it's all the President's fault?
