City of Danville

I am so proud that you are taking a proactive approach to waste in our community. Just today, the Contra Costa Times issued an article on the "Vortex of Trash" that floats about 1000 miles off the coast of California and is estimated to be roughly twice the size of Texas. This is unacceptable!

In your admirable efforts, I urge you to consider construction costs to homeowners and small construction businesses as they pursue work. These people only strive improve the value of their homes and to meet customer satisfaction and keep overheads low. As councilwoman Andersen has stated, give these people incentive to do the right thing.

We can not continue to accumulate waste as we have always done in the past. This is just one of the transitions as a local, national, and global community that we face in order to live in accordance with mother nature. There are plenty of ways to incorporate sustainable development in our community.

Thank you Danville leaders for moving us in the right direction!
