On the remodeling of Veteran's Hall I sure hope the large Redwood Tree in the front inbetween Prospect and the stairs will remain. It not only reduces carbon dioxide of the passing cars but also gives a positive ambience. The shade it provides to the sunny side is a delight.

Just two corrections to the printed article above. Eight trees will come down, seven Redwoods and one pine. Redwoods don't "put out" C02. Of all the earth's trees, Redwoods sequester the most C02. They hold it; they use it. If they are cut down, the C02 has nowhere to go except into our air.

Btw: The tree in front at the Prospect corner at the bus stop is not a Redwood. Saving that pine at the corner would certainly be nice to maintain that shady place to wait for the bus and chat with friends.
