'Tropical storm' hits San Ramon Valley

Lightning flashes and cracking thunder awakened San Ramon Valley residents early Saturday morning, the far-reaching effect of Hurricane Linda. The hurricane, packing sustained winds of 80 mph, had been downgraded to a tropical storm off the coast of Mexico, according to reports.
