Dear Editor,

With the town square forum as an obvious example of the abuse of freedom of speech and freedom of the press, there needs to be planned actions to imply broadcast and print publication libel laws to on-line news and social media. You must agree that you do not support your own request for this forum, "Please be respectful and truthful in your postings so Town Square will continue to be a thoughtful gathering place for sharing community information and opinion."

It is such criminal disrespect for libel, plus IP protection, that invites new global restrictions. Trusting website management to self-regulate has proven to be the reverse of any protection of reputation and intellectual property.

The only protection is NDAs and thorough protection of privacy.
