Dear neighbors,

Do you want Stone Valley Road and Danville Blvd to be four lane parkways in the Diablo Vista (Alamo) Region. Supervisor Piepho does!

Tell her NO, DAMN NO! She is holding an invitation-only meeting at Hap Magee Park, 4PM, Monday, May 12th and she deserves to hear from counsel for her actions!

Amazing isn't it? Piepho never changes,

Dear neighbors,

May I suggest that Ms. Piepho be given the opportunity to present her considerations of Alamo Traffic issues. I could not find any intention on the part of Ms. Piepho or Contra Costa Public Works to create projects on our main roads without consideration of public comment. The key, very importantly, is to make the political costs too great for county and regional transportation interests to continue to route commuter traffic on Alamo roads.

If that does not work, certainly a community with the financial resources of Alamo can use effective counsel to demand compliance with our will. No need to doubt that outcome.

Alamo is a destination and not a commuter corridor. Remove Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road in our business district and the issue is settled.

It is ever so easy,

Hal/CDSI Research

For your information:

Community Meeting 5/12/08

A message from Ms. Gina Ferretti, District 3. gferr@bos.cccounty.us,

You are invited to attend a community meeting to provide comments on the Tri Valley Transportation Committee - Action Plan. This plan contains a project that could make changes to the Danville Boulevard and Stone Valley Road intersection. The project was originally listed on the Alamo Area of Benefit Fund project list several years ago. A number of community members have contacted my office with concerns about the project and requested it be removed from the plan.

Date: Monday May 12, 2008
4:00 p.m.

Location: The Cottage at Hap Magee Ranch Park
1029 La Gonda Way

If you do not live in Discovery Bay on the water, you are a scum, in the mind of Mary N. Piepho.

Voters beware, do not be fooled again, DO NOT RE-ELECT PIEPHO.
Let's get this (words deleted by Danville Weekly staff) out of office before she does more damage.

Yup folks, this is where your tax dollars have gone, so "Mrs. Piepho" and her husband can have the delta all to themselves. I've listened to her husband on the Delta Forums website for years now, and sheesh. What a joke.

How about that? Stepping on the toes of good families for her personal agenda. Some County residents, and some not, Some that came to this County to spend their money at small business's, and now wont.

Don't you think CCC can spend your tax dollars helping people, instead of hurting them?

Please DO NOT re-elect Piepho.

Dear neighbbors,

Neighbors throughout District 3 are sharing their interests a new supervisor BUT that does not remove the issue addressed in this forum. Donna Gerber, Millie Greenberg and the current supervisor have all supported usage of Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road as major traffic routing in our region. Meetings conducted by District 3 supervisors and CCC Public Works in our region always protected the right to use our roads as major regional thoroughfares.

That is what must STOP!

Alamo, as our regional business district, should be a destination in the same manner as our neighborhoods are destinations for our friends and commercial relationships. As regional neighbors, it should be our interests to remove any opportunity for our roads and lanes to be used as thoroughfares for foreign commuters.

The only practical method to stop such thoroughfares is to remove Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road in the Alamo business district and create a MALL with appropriate access lanes within the district.

That is the message for May 11, 4PM, The Cottage at Hap Magee Park and May 15 at the AIA meeting.

Public Works to present the next expansion of Danville Blvd

Around Town, posted by Susan West, a resident of another community, on May 1, 2008 at 4:15 pm

Dear neighbors:

(From AIA notice, www.alamoca.org)

WATCH THIS SPOT FOR MORE INFOMATION ON ROADS IN ALAMO.

May 15, 2008, 7:00 PM, at the regular meeting of AIA, attend a presentation by the Contra Costa County Public Works Department.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

(Susan's comments)

The goal of Contra Costa County Public Works is to expand Danville Blvd to invite greater volumes of foreign commute traffic onto our roads and lanes. Expansions to date are failures in the business district and have increased traffic in Alamo.

Inform Chris Lau, CCC-PW Transportation, clau@pw.cccounty.us of your preferences.

Dear Susan West,

Answer me this: How do you hold an "Invitation Only" meeting where everyone is invited?

(You must have whupped up a new definition of "Invitation Only" somehow.)

And of course I know the answer to the above question: You slant, distort and ignore reality.

I suggest you read what you have written...

You should maybe consider watching the debate between Houston and Piepho where Guy Houston's idea's include running Bart from WC to Dublin, right through ALAMO!

He cares about as much about Alamo and Danville as he does for the a seat at the board of supervisors. He wants to use you to help him hold a seat until he can advance his career.

"Delta Jim" seems to have some personal issues and a lot of anger. Allegations with no real world examples, typical for those that attack piepho. He should take his complaints back to his delta forum, whatever that is.

It's my belief that there's a little hanky panky going on behind the scenes of the CCC BOS, to which, I think each and every one of them should be removed from office and replaced with people that are for the people, not against.

If you like your tax dollars going to certain few individuals personal agendas, then good for you, but I choose my tax dollars to be spent in ways that help the citizens of CCC, not dictate to them.

Thank You Very Much.....!

Dear Neighbors,

So many comments to address, but let's clarify:

Alamo Ron, Susan West did not schedule or has any management of the AIA and its presentation of CCC-Public Works. What is reality as "invitation only" is the District 3 meeting May 11 that cannot be restricted from public attendance.

The proposal of BART to Dublin from Walnut Creek is nothing new and the proposal places the elevated rail system along the 680 corridor. Market research has noted that there is a lack of ridership to warrant the line and a lack of jobs along the line.

The issue of CCC-BOS making decisions in opposition to Contra Costans is a repeated matter of record. In focused research, few Contra Costans believe they have been served by the current CCC-BOS.

The issue in this forum is expansion of Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road to be greater thoroughfares for foreign commute traffic in our region. It is time that we as regional neighbors simply said "NO!"

Dear Hal,

Let's see...

I understand that this is really hard to follow, but here goes. (concentrate on this now).

Susan West started this thread by saying. "She [Mary Piepho] is holding an invitation-only meeting at Hap Magee Park, 4PM, Monday, May 12th..."

I responded by asking Susan "How do you hold an "Invitation Only" meeting where everyone is invited?" The point being that her assertion of an "invitation only" meeting is flat out wrong. Everyone is, and was, invited as Gina Ferretti, Mary's field rep, made abundantly clear.

Now you suggest that Susan had nothing to do with the scheduling. Well, of course she didn't! That's not the point. She made a flat statement that was wrong (think L-word here). Your comments on this point are not quite responsive to the issue.

Anyone thinking Guy Houston is out to help Alamo?

Because, that would really take the cake! Guy is out of a job, so your tax dollars would most likely go to his favorite special interest (himself).

Do yourself a favor and do your homework.

Dear neighbors,

Susan is traveling and will not be able to address questions concerning the meetings on Monday, May 11 and Thursday, May 15.

MAY 11 meeting: To clarify, the invitation posted in this forum to the May 11 District 3 meeting was sent to Alamo Community Council (ACC) participants only and forwarded to neighbors by those receiving the private invitation. ACC participants in the Alamo business district are concerned that expansion of roads and intersections in the district will further damage ease of access to shopping and services. In the forwarding, our provider noted, "Commute traffic does not shop and keeps our shoppers away during morning and evening hours. That is a major negative to locating new businesses in the growing number of empty spaces."

The District 3 invitation was made public in this forum because selected individuals should not voice their positions for all neighbors. ACC participants are county advisory committees including the AIA, serving at the will of the current supervisor(s), and do not represent the perspective of the majority of neighbors in our region.

May 15 meeting: AIA has publicly announced the CCC Public Works presentation of expansion plans for the Alamo business district. The AIA has provided a two page spread on the proposed expansion in Alamo Today this month and announced opposition to the expansion.

Residents in the Iron Horse corridor from Walnut Creek to Danville are encouraged to attend the AIA meeting and voice their opposition to using Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road as commute corridors and trapping residents in their neighborhoods with the traffic volume.

A final note: Iron Horse neighbors, like neighbors throughout District 3, have called for supervisor candidates to address community, infrastructure (traffic), economic development, and usages of our environments. The current supervisors have been abusive in all categories and do not have the support of the majority of regional neighbors. Thus, Guy was asked to publish his positions so voters can weigh his approach to serving our region and District 3.

Thank you for your contributions to this forum,

Kathy Bell
