Health department release free restaurant inspection app

Foodies are now able to easily access the inspection results of their favorite restaurants, thanks to a new smartphone app released by Contra Costa Health Services. California Food Inspector allows users to search inspection results for 4,200 food facilities throughout the county.

Excellent recommendation for citizens to protect themselves with this report which is generated ultimately by taxpayers money.

Any other taxpayer generated reports which the public should have access to which can be put forth by whomever?

Again, does the app have a name? Nothing comes up under cchs or contra costa health services.

@Jessica, any news on the name of the app described in your article? It seems a bit odd to describe it as a way to easily access inspection results when there is no way to access the app!

Nice app but don't expect much. A few years ago in Redwood City a Mexican restaurant was held responsible for the sickness of many customers and the death of a woman. They were shut down, put through a "training" and allowed to re-open!!
Wash your hands101 was enough.
