So sad! May the Fuchs family get through this trial with peace in their hearts knowing that their child is in a better place. God Bless.

My family lives in the same neighborhood as the Fuchs family. Sending you lots of thoughts and support during this difficult time. You are great neighbors and we all hope that this process is peaceful and provides a sense of closure for your family.

Why did this trial take so long to get started? The incident happened in 2009! What a flawed system. It took over 3 years to convince a judge that this case should go to trial? I hope the family of te victim truly finds justice, and peace, in this case. Good luck!

Walter Bell,, has a criminal record that began when he was 13, Alameda County criminal court records reveal.
Bell was arrested in Berkeley and charged with three counts of first-degree burglary. As part of a plea deal, he admitted stealing from one home in exchange for charges being dropped in the other two cases.
Court records show that the Alameda County District Attorney's office did not have enough evidence to pursue a jury trial on all three burglary charges.
Nevertheless, the judge who sentenced Bell warned the then-18-year-old that his criminal past, including convictions for robbery when he was 13 years old, and grand theft, put him on "the fast track" to a life in prison. BTW---where's a pic of the killer? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? We know why----
