San Ramon girl places 25th in national spelling bee

A San Ramon middle school girl was the last of three Bay Area students to fall at the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Audrey Bantug, 13, who is an eighth-grader at Iron Horse Middle School misspelled the word polytocous after coming through a round earlier by correctly spelling oread.
