Scooter giveaway benefits Romans family

A pair of Danville businessmen, wanting to help out in the wake of the tragic death of Sgt. Irvin Romans, recently held a fundraiser and donated all the proceeds to the slain officer's family.

Craig and Bill,
THANK YOU again for your support of Nikki and her children. Nikki, my Mom and I had a BLAST hanging out with you guys and your family last week. I'm also pretty sure that Carol had a good time too. That pink scooter seems to fit her personality perfectly. Thank you for hosting the raffle and BBQ, you guys ROCK!!!

Bill and I have to admit we had fun as well, not only at the party but doing the leg work. We would like to thank Charlies Barber Shop as well as Frontier Barber Shop for their help. They were a huge part of the ticket sales. Also, Interstate Batteries for the use of the mobile BBQ and Vatran's Flying Sausage for the food. Special thanks to Chuck "The Diesel" for DJing the event. Thank you to EVERYONE who bought a ticket. One of Nikki's coments to us was that all the events she has attended were full of doom and gloom so we wanted to bring some fun into her life and help her family out as well.
