I remember going to visit Ruth Donahue and son Ray when I was a teenager. My grandmother Philomena /Minnie Avila was good friends with them. I was sad when houses took over the land. The old house was so majestic looking with the big tree in the front yard. A good memory

We used to visit White Gate in the early Sixties and would sneak through the property on our way to the cliffs in search of birds of prey nests. It was always an adventure being chased by the cattle or Rancher Donahue in his old truck.
