Interested in knowing more about solar energy?

Original post made by CDSI Research on May 31, 2010

Dear Emily,

Many neighbors in our region have asked CDSI information for more information about solar photovoltaics (PV). At San Francisco's Mosconi Center West, July 13-15, Intersolar USA will present the technologies, producers, suppliers and programs focused on promotion of Solar PV markets, Web Link

This show and conference is part of Semicon West, a global semiconductor processing show, that will feature many of the new technologies that drive our personal electronics and computers, Web Link

Registration for the exhibits and on-floor presentations is FREE through June 5. With more regional neighbors interested in Solar PV for their homes and businesses, and use by governments and districts, a day spent in San Francisco can be an exceptional education.

Best wishes,

Thanks, Hal, for this and for raising the level of the conversation.

I wonder if the Danville Weekly should consider allowing comments only by registered users. I think the equivalent of road-rage goes on in this forum (people behaving in a way they wouldn't if they were face to face). Perhaps requiring registration would increase civility. It would preserve public anonymity for those who want it, but allow just one username per email address.

I value reader comments enough to continue reading the Town Square Forum on a regular basis, but I am dismayed by the petty antagonism and disrespect that pollute many of the discussions.

Any other ideas for raising the quality and civility of discussions here? Readers have so much of value to contribute, it's a shame to see the forum hijacked by the angry few.

Dear Emily,

The subject of this exchange is public's ability to learn more about the advancements in Solar PV technologies. The concern in commentary is how a few from the fringe of our communities will distract such consideration with repetitions of their political prejudices.

The resolve that will offer full discussion of such a learning effort is accomplished in a few steps by EMC East Bay publishers:

First, you need to be more a part of direct provision of technical information to the EXPRESS readership and should be the first to attend Intersolar USA.

Second, EMC East Bay needs to employ their Terms of Use for the Town Square Forum consistently and immediately to stop the repetitive display of political prejudices, defamation and off-topic commentary.

It is quite up to EMC East Bay if such critical exchanges as an information offering can be successful going forward.

Today is a great day to be memorable, Emily,

Hal,
Yes, the Terms of Use, if applied consistently, should do the job.

And yes, I keep calling it the Danville Weekly, but it is, and has been for some time, the Express!

I have put Intersolar USA on my calendar. Thank you again for the information.

Sarah

Dear Emily,

Posted to Linkedin.com, Photovoltaic Solar Cell Manufacturing (linkedin) group:

San Ramon Valley Unified School District is installing solar PV; district residents have concerns.

SRVUSD has contracted with Sunpower for solar PV carports over various school parking lots. Neighbors in this district just north of Silicon Valley have many experts that have presented less obtrusive Solar PV technology that can be placed on current school building roofs. Please comment on methods to create less obtrusive installations, please.

About the linkedin group: Photovoltaic Solar Cell Manufacturing

This group is designed to share information, insights and opinions within the solar manufacturing industry. Join the discussions, and also get and share links to the latest news and jobs in the PV industry.
