Will Denise Jennison go on record with a Becky Smith opinion?

Original post made by Rick Pshaw on Jun 20, 2010

I'm curious if Denise Jennison would like to go on record with an opinion on the Principal Becky Smith matter.

I rather think that people would like to know this before deciding how they will vote in the school board election.

How 'bout it, Denise?

Rick: Excellent question! Her answer, or failure to respond, will be a key issue in my vote, as it says a lot more about her character and ability to lead our school district, than any p.r. campaign brochures...Denise, what is your opinion, please?

Dear Emily,

This morning, neighborhoods' resident counsel directed me to this posting with notice that no board member or candidate for the board can make comments on the pending legal actions between Becky Smith and SRVUSD. Any such comment is in affect trying the case in the media and potentially subject to court sanctions.

It would be appropriate for all candidates to provide campaign commentary on the conduct of all administrators including principals that they would use in judging performance and promotion of new principals. "What should a Board be looking for in principals' performance and the capabilities of new principals?"

Possibly, your commentators would provide their answers to this question?

Dear Ralph,
Please keep politics out of this. I suffered from whopping cough when I was in my teens during the 1960's and spread it to my father in his 50's at the time. It is a terrible illness that lasts for over a month and you have extreme bouts of coughing resulting in gasping for air until you feel like you will pass out. I was immunized as a child and still somehow contracted the disease.
Parents, don't underestimate whopping cough. You are unaware as to it's severity as it isn't a common illness. Get yourselves and your children immunized!

(I think Paula posted in the wrong thread.)

Regarding not making comments, the entire school board has already weighed in with its opinion. I'm merely asking Denise Jennison to do the same.

Don't expect Denise to weigh in on this as this information is discussed in closed session with board members and the supt cabinet. The district's attorney(contracted)gives input and from known experiences loves litigation as it means more $ for him and less $ for the kids. Hopefully the new asst supt hire will see this quickly and recommend new counsel. Millions have been wasted by the current admin if poor counsel.
