Great News!! SF Chronicle DOES NOT endorse David Harmer

Original post made by Rick Pshaw, Danville, on Oct 25, 2010

The SF Chron did not endorse David Harmer. This is a highly positive indicator for the Harmer campaign because it is proof that the Harry Reid – Nancy Pelosi axis of tax-and-spend liberals is on the ropes. The majority of people in District 11 do not buy into Chron's left-wing bias and will elect a man of principle – David Harmer.

By the way, McNerney voted for ObamaCare.

Not only that, but neither did the SVT Times!

Touche Cardinal...I always like your pithy observations. I thought the San Ramon Valley Times' rationale for endorsing Jerry was very well thought out and made a lot of sense. Harmer is a rigid idealogue aligned completely with the extreme far right, and I mean EXTREME far right. I saw a video tape of the debate last Friday night in Tracy between the two and the Harmer supporters were incredibly rude and disrespectful to Jerry, their behavior was a real detriment to Harmer's effort in my view. I am not a "leftie" as Rickshaw would describe me, I am very much a centrist, and David Harmer's lack of experience and stand on numerous issues eliminate him from consideration for my vote.

The Chronicle is supporting the election of Jerry McNerney for all the right reasons and if you check it out so will you.

SF Chronicle
Four years ago, Democrat Jerry McNerney, a low-key engineer and mathematician, ousted Republican incumbent Richard Pombo by offering centrist sensibilities that traveled well in an oddly shaped four-county district that included culturally contrasting patches of suburbs and farmland.

It's curious that McNerney voted for ObamaCare even though
"it was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination."

And he was
"critical of some of the deals for certain states that were used to secure votes from wavering lawmakers."

I know that he's in lockstep with Pelosi, but what would it take for him to vote his convictions and vote AGAINST something that Pelosi told him to vote in favor of?

We need an independent voice for District 11. That's David Harmer

The extreme views and policy statements of Harmer do not fit with our District 11. I guess this makes sense as Harmer DOES NOT LIVE IN DISTRICT 11. Harmer can't even vote in District 11 and should not be given any serious consideration as your Rep.

Chet, I'm with you. With a daughter who is consistently denied health insurance due to a pre-existing condition related to a birth defect, I'm ready for "obamacare". For those of us hard working, tax paying, COBRA suffering folks, that term is far from a dirty word.

Vicky's daughter's pre-existing condition predicament is EXACTLY what healthcare reform is all about. Rickshaw would simply kick those afflicted with a disease to the curb, thrusting economic ruin on them for a happenstance occurence that is no fault of their own. If Rickshaw had any personal experience with the random nature of chronic illness or genetic complications he would not be so callous and mean spirited. The United States is the ONLY industrialized nation without cradle to grave government sponsored heal insurance and that is truly a scandal...we are a better nation than that. Keep the faith Vicky....reform is coming...our prayers are with you and many others in the same boat. I hope to see Rickshaw dutifully removing that offensive Tea Party sign that has blighted our hillside along 680 next Wednesday morning.
