Life Is A Cabaret

Original post made by Elaine Betts on Jan 11, 2011

You know, life really is a cabaret isn't it. There are shows, performances and events going on all over the community and each one is just as important and valuable as the next. How can you pick where to go and what to support? Only you can answer that. I will do my best to get as many events out into public awareness so that we have as many choices as possible.

Monte Vista Choir's gala fundraiser 'Life is a Cabaret' dinner/auction is January 29 at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. The show will feature choral students performing songs from Broadway Musicals. Starting at 6pm with a silent auction reception. The Friends of Monte Vista Choir are dedicated to raising the funds to support its award-winning choral program.
Tickets are $45 a table of eight for $360. Make your reservations today at www.mvchoir.org or by contacting Joanna Smith at 925.736.9456

Students Assisting Students or SAS. The purpose of the club is to raise funds for families that are struggling to pay their utility bills with-in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Their first large fund raiser is on February 9th. They will be hosting a Valentine's Day Boutique at the Sycamore Club House, off of Old Orchard and Sycamore Blvd. Money is paid directly to the utility company itself. Their goal is that all the high schools in the District develop the same club in their schools and then work as one unified team to help our community.
