Original post made by Elaine Betts, Danville, on Feb 4, 2011

The Viet Nam Veterans of the Diablo Valley is hosting their 7th annual non-profit event this Sunday and asking the community to open their pocketbooks for their once-a-year charity crab feed fund raiser on February 6th . This is the group that started the East Bay Stand Down and relies on the revenue from this event as it is their annual fund raiser. I had the privilege last summer of volunteering and helping to cook hundred of breakfast at o' dark hundred for the homeless veterans.
Tickets are still available Sunday - February 6th annual crab feed fundraiser, which takes place at the Community Center – 420 Front Street in Danville - while their new facilities in the Veteran's Memorial Building is under construction. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the crab feed starts after 3p.m. All crab feed tickets include - all day snacks & appetizers & a no-host beverage service - Italian pasta and crab dinner with dessert.
