Ultimate Frisbee flies home

Mark Elbogen does not sleep in on Saturdays. At 11 a.m. every week, you can find him and 25 of his nearest and dearest diving, running and throwing brightly colored disks through the sand of East Beach, Santa Barbra. Elbogen plays Ultimate Frisbee, a form of Frisbee-football originating in New Jersey in 1968. Popularized on college campuses, Ultimate has since spread to our schools.

This former editor and recent Ultimate Club Nationals champion is happy to see an article about Ultimate! There's also pick-up on Thursday nights (6:30 to 9:30 p.m.) at Las Positas College in Livermore.

Thank you to Jessica Lipsky and the Danville Weekly for another well researched and written article with local interest.

I have no idea of the rules but it looks like a lot of fun and way better exercise than counting paragraphs ;-)
