Discuss MVHS Solar Power Generation Station tonight

Monte Vista High School neighbors in Alamo and Danville can learn about the actual plans for a solar power generation station to be constructed as a carport covering the large parking lot in Alamo tonight, June 9, 7 PM, at the AIA Board meeting, Creekside Church, in Alamo. Specific concerns for the required height for the structure to allow emergency vehicles access and the superstructure needed to carry the weight of large solar panels and their tracking systems are the key issues to be presented and discussed.
Recent solar carport construction on Oak Park Blvd, Pleasant Hill, illustrated the massive industrial appearance of a solar generation power station built as a carport exceeding 24 feet in height. If such a power station is built in Alamo neighborhoods, the station will be a visually predominant to surrounding neighborhoods looking down on a massive array of solar panels and superstructure.
