Preparing for a redistricting battle

Original post made by [removed] on Jun 13, 2011

Dear Editor,

Mary Piepho has stated that she wants to keep the San Ramon Valley together including Blackhawk, Tassajara Valley, and Dougherty Valley within the boundaries of SRV. She does not want Alamo and Diablo and she is not alone. District 2, 4 and 5 supervisors do not want Alamo and Diablo due to the political capabilities of wealth, power and counsel in our region. WE are dangerous to any supervisor in their view.

No supervisor wants Alamo in their district unless Alamo voters can be politically nullified by major cities' voters. Map and documentation reportedly to be the supervisors' preference discovered via Contra Costa Council members would see Alamo and Diablo disappearing into District 4's voting majority in Concord, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.

Many of the super wealthy, in other words those that have surpassed the level of the greedy selfish wealthy, are democrats, because they are highly intelligent thoughtful Americans.

The Alamo and Diablo republicans to which the letter writer refers are nullified not because of voters from Concord, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek, but because of their arrogance and out of touch views of elitism, cronyism, and status-quoism.

I am willing to bet that the hotel worker, gardener, basic level manufacturing office worker and many others, who all work by the way, work far harder than you or your husband/wife. While the Alamo/Diablo wives run off for "Spa Days" because life is so hard in their mansions, or get $350 cut and color, or $120 Mani/Pedi's, or get hair extensions and rotating BoTox Injections all the while hiding robust clothing purchases from their spouses, and think nothing of buying $20/lb meats and fish.

Wake up to reality and realize that Alamo and Diablo are marginalized by your tired, dreary, greedy, selfish ideologies. Republicans may as well align themselves with the Arab world dictators that won't give up power. Trickle Down Economics has proven to be You've been tricked economics. What we need is the flood of spending not the trickle of water from granite countertops and golf club purchases.

Dear Editor,

John, as a passionate commentator, explains wealth discrimination that exists in factions of our Alamo region and 24/680 south corridor. Wealth rather than party creates this faction and its affects on aggregated politics in our county, state and to some extend federal governments impacting our region.

Points are well taken in consideration of such wealth. Outrage needs questions and responses from you as editor and your readership.

The reality of this exchange on your forum is to examine how the Alamo region, Saranap to Blackhawk, has mastered political dissent and actions using e-viral techniques and actions by resident counsel. At this point, supervisors realize that exceptional social media connections in our region have allowed nearly immediate outreach to 24/680 south corridor neighborhoods, delta region neighborhoods, and now into 680 north and west county.

The "District Six" movement represented by Contra Costa neighborhoods, east to west, is the challenge to supervisors that want to decide for us versus those that wish to represent our will and interests.

There is an exceptional difference and many that wish to pursue such defined representation.
