Supporting LAFCo incorporation studies, Town of Alamo
Original post made by Hal Bailey on Mar 30, 2008
Sunday morning e-exchanges discussed donations to the costs of the Contra Costa LAFCo incorporation studies being performed for Alamo Incorporation Movement (AIM). Many neighbors (2,197) signed the AIM petition as a promise of feasibility studies to allow evaluation of local government formation and its financial benefits.
Even though I do not support AIM's incorporation proposal, I do support such studies because they will allow all regional residents to evaluate incorporation as a potential value to our region.
Answering a second concern of participation in AIM's Alamo Community Foundation fund-raising events and the loss of privacy, I would suggest that an anonymous bank draft for less than $100 would provide donation without disclosure or participation. Retain your draft receipt for your tax deduction.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhoods,
