DRAFT Joel Keller for District 3 Supervisor

Original post made by [removed], Blackhawk, on Dec 28, 2011

Dear Editor,

Since Diablo, Blackhawk and Tassajara Valley neighborhoods will not register for response to Web Link, I will provide you feedback from those neighborhoods taken from e-exchanges today. The goal is now outreach to all district 3 neighborhoods in efforts to prove majority vote support to Joel as part of being drafted to run for district 3 supervisor. A DRAFT Committee has been formed among district 3 neighborhoods and the illustration of majority support is now to be delivered to Joel.

If your district 3 readers would like contact information to express support for Joel, or to learn more about Joel's commitment to communities and neighborhoods, please contact DRAFT Committee, CDSI Member Information, halbailey@yahoo.com.

I think Mr. Keller is smart enough not to want to end his career as Guy Houston did.

.... I think that Mr. Keller is more honest than both of the people you are refering to Steve. This is why he's a shoe in.

Dear Editor,

The best response from the Mary Piepho supporters is a false reference to Guy Houston and blatant age discrimination? Again, Terms of Use requires a respectful, responsible commentary rather than another round of "swift boating" that made the 2008 district 3 Piepho campaign an ugly insult to voters' intelligence.

In 2008, Guy Houston ran a weak campaign that did not challenge Mary Piepho's poor performance in office or point out her focused service to developers and supporters to the detriment of communities and neighborhoods.

News service fact-checking overnight illustrated that BART has performed on task and to markets for its transit services. BART Directors, including Joel Keller, have not had the review of actions in office that have been directed at Mary Piepho for questionable use of funds, nepotism, decisions in favor of supporters of her office holder account, and political intimidation/retaliation.

Specifically, the majority of Antioch commuters do not go to inner-bay destinations offered by BART in their original design. In fact-checking by news service researchers, plans for alternative rail transit and expanded rapid bus services offers the destinations in the south bay, north bay and upper west bay. BART is intended to be Mass Rapid Transit serving the inner bay economic hubs and delivers that result to millions of riders.

Thus, as editor, you will need to apply "You agree to be respectful of others, be truthful and be solely responsible for all postings you make" to the commentary in exchanges inviting a competitive campaign in District 3.

I am a proud Piepho person. In my opinion Mary Piepho is the type of leader we need in all arena of politics. She makes tough decisions and stands by her convictions. I will not hide my support. Politics is a rough and tumble arena. Ask anyone involved, campaigns are nothing more than intellectual street fights. Mr. Bailey, you really need to learn to be honest about your agenda and your biases. You have no concern for what is fair or honest or newsworthy.

Let's look at your post.

C: The best response from the Mary Piepho supporters is a false reference to Guy Houston and blatant age discrimination? Again, Terms of Use requires a respectful, responsible commentary rather than another round of "swift boating" that made the 2008 district 3 Piepho campaign an ugly insult to voters' intelligence.

A: You have been "swift boating" Mary Piepho for years. You are connected to every anti-Piepho gadfly through out her district. You're smear campaign is never ending. The ugly insult to voters came from The Houston side just as much as the Piepho side. This is politics, this is a campaign, remember? Have we forgotten the Sheriff's (Rupf) letter which violated FPPC laws? What about the non-sense posted on numerous blogs throughout that campaign against Mary Piepho? You bias is showing big time here.

C: In 2008, Guy Houston ran a weak campaign that did not challenge Mary Piepho's poor performance in office or point out her focused service to developers and supporters to the detriment of communities and neighborhoods.

A: It wasn't weak when you and your "friends" were supporting him in 2008. Refer to the above comment for the second part of your comment here. You don't deal in facts, you do nothing but re-write history to prop up your bias and agenda.

C: News service fact-checking overnight illustrated that BART has performed on task and to markets for its transit services. BART Directors, including Joel Keller, have not had the review of actions in office that have been directed at Mary Piepho for questionable use of funds, nepotism, decisions in favor of supporters of her office holder account, and political intimidation/retaliation.

A: Telling a lie enough times actually doesn't make it a fact no matter how hard you try. People in Antioch have been paying for Bart for over 30 years and still have no Bart. This is outragous and you would be concerned if you didn't have an anti-Piepho agenda. "News service fact-checking" Do you say things like this to make yourself sound more important? the honest way to say that would be "Hal Bailey used google."

C: Specifically, the majority of Antioch commuters do not go to inner-bay destinations offered by BART in their original design. In fact-checking by news service researchers, plans for alternative rail transit and expanded rapid bus services offers the destinations in the south bay, north bay and upper west bay. BART is intended to be Mass Rapid Transit serving the inner bay economic hubs and delivers that result to millions of riders.

A: Nice spin. It doesn't change the fact that Antioch residents are paying for something they don't use. Why doesn't that bother you or other tax payer organizations?

C: Thus, as editor, you will need to apply "You agree to be respectful of others, be truthful and be solely responsible for all postings you make" to the commentary in exchanges inviting a competitive campaign in District 3.

A: HAHA. If the editors do this, they also need to include a posting like "Don't take Hal Bailey seriously, no one else here does.". What non-sense. Why would you advocate for something you yourself could follow?

To end, Joel Keller seems like a nice man. You people should be ashamed of yourself for throwing him under the bus to suit your needs. He is WAY down in fundraising. He is WAY behind in endorsements. He has no campaign infrastructure to speak of. You will sacrifice anyone to just have someone run against Sup. Piepho. It's really sad. Mr. Keller, do yourself a big favor and enjoy your life with you family and keep doing the work of the Bart Board. The people who are trying to "Draft" you will be no help come election time. Save yourself the grief and time. In a recent poll you came in a distinct third...your chance of winning is the same as our chance of never hearing Hal Bailey's nonsense....zip, zero.

Humor from CDSI Member Info, Editor

Sounds like a HAL of a guy, someone you all should meet, PP's!

You have described what seems to be a very inventive individual that is quite unlike anyone I know.

Would you like an introduction?

Wow PP, sounds like you're a hypocrite with your spin. If you think Joel Keller can't stand up to unethical Mary then why did you even post? Its public fact people are tired of her intimidating, controlling, manipulating, nepotistic ways. In fact, people are even sending her messages to remove them from her endorsement list. Of course it is pretty tough to have a deceased people contact her to be removed. One would think she would remove those endorsements to be politically respectful. That is just another unethical propaganda promotion on her flyers. The real funny endorsement is Don Flint. Mr. Flint wouldn't support her devious ways if she was the last person left in the county. Yes, Mr. Keller please run and take us back to the honesty and integrity we have missed.

ECW, isn't it true you ARE Flint? What's with the third person posting ruse? You would certainly know about intimidating(CSD staff), controlling(your sister who posts in various forums at your command) and manipulating(various demanding communications to CSD and County officials). All well documented for those thinking this sounds libelous.

You would know about endorsement withdrawal requests how? Question, Don. Should your withdrawal request be handled in the same expeditious *cough* manner which you used when County officials requested you take down sensitive personal and financial information from your website? How long did you run around the County Treasurer/Auditor people with that cat and mouse game?

By the by, how does someone withdraw an endorsement that was made for the last election cycle? Just rewrite history to make some petty point?

I guess having been run off the local forums due to your penchant to stretch the truth a bit too much you're having to cast the smear campaign net a little wider these days in this forum?

You could answer indirectly, if you like. Isn't your email anonymousprr@gmail.com? You might remember, it's the one you created during your "transparency campaign" last year where you tried to dictate the terms of communication with the DBCSD. Much like you just did here.

Nothing screams transparency quite like putting "anonymous" in your email alias. Right? Between your antics and Mr. multiple personality, that's some support group trying to draft Keller. I wonder if he actually sat in a room with you all that he'd figure out who he's signing up with?

If you don't think age is an issue, maybe you should reread the County Grand Jury report you flaunt so often which mentions that County Supervisors typically put in 50-70 hr weeks. Think Joel is keen on signing up for that at his age? The BART gig is a country club affair by comparison.

Being an effective Supervisor requires being a team player and having the skills to effectively motivate your fellow Supes in advocacy efforts for your constituents in the home district. Keller has little record of accomplishment with his BART stint. If you're looking for milk toast accomplishments, then I guess that could appeal to you in an election. Beyond that, the "anybody but Mary" email distribution group which includes Hal and ECW here really aren't offering anything but blusterous innuendo and at times outright falsehoods.

The 2012 election season isn't really even in stride and we're already seeing the clowns piling out of the clown car. My sympathies to the Editors here who will have to run herd over some of our out of control daycare center grade of participants who will be haunting your forum this election cycle. We try to keep the gates locked, but they keep getting out. Just keep in mind their bark is worse than their bite. Most of the time we just ignore them.

Whoville,PP,Bob,

I have registered with Danville Express and will be more than Happy to provide documentation to back up each statement made.

You should come out of the closet and register too. I bet your personal childish attacks would go away.

Your comments are a great example of why Joel Keller should run and Mary Piepho should be unseated. Thanks for your loyalty to Mary it really shows with your comments. Even if they are wrong. You really need professional help with the negative degrading comments you make about nothing to do with this forum.

Dear Gina,

I have an idea. It seems that libelous attacks have created a need to change the nature of your delivery of content to your readers. A name change, quite on the bias, might be appropriate to the Diablo Vista Inquirer. A few pictures of two-headed calves, a sensational story or three, and claims that LLNL has cured the common cold would do quite nicely.

Town Square Forum could become the "Town Skewered Nicely" in some very MAD magazine format would allow the intense humor of hate-speak seen in this exchange to be understood as comedy more and more appreciated by highly-entertained readers.

Just imaging your new daily column, "Unringing the BELL!" that deals with all the corrections necessary to avoid review of your commentators' cyber-bullying. It would be very nice to hear from you.

Your pal,

Alan C. Ginah

Getting back to the purpose of this exchange, Editor, let's review:

#1. The goal is now outreach to all district 3 neighborhoods in efforts to prove majority vote support to Joel as part of being drafted to run for district 3 supervisor.

#2. If your district 3 readers would like contact information to express support for Joel, or to learn more about Joel's commitment to communities and neighborhoods, please contact (as a change) editor@danvilleexpress.com and request introduction to Joel.

It is up to you, Editor.

Let's all just get along. Like that will happen.

I prefer to vote republican, but the current incumbent has crossed over too many ethics lines.
She is an embarrassment to the party. I'll vote across any lines at this point to get a good genuine person.

I believe Joel Keller is that person.

Joel Keller please run and end the madness plaguing our communities.

Dear Editor,

Let us join together in saying thank you for "Voter"'s post. Our goal has been together to have respectful and thoughtful presentation of the issues faced by Joel Keller's potential candidacy. What has resulted is campaign attacks, misinformation and jargon attempting to intimidate Joel and his supporters.

The lack of EMCEB fact-checking of such commentary and its continuation as sponsored commentary is simply your embarrassment. Such is easily solved by responsible review and editing using your known capabilities as a journalist.

REF: Web Link

Dear Editor,

Campaigns among corporations, institutions, public safety unions and other organizations supporting the status quo in Contra Costa County have distributed an announcement through their campaign management group that Joel Keller will not run for District 3 supervisor and will endorse Mary Piepho with a statement including, "after careful consideration of what our county needs as experienced leadership."

It seems your journalism is needed to validate such distribution very likely sent to you. This is the same consortium that supported Mary with allied campaigns in 2008 and had contributors at the recent gathering at Tom Power's home to kick off a consortium of campaigns in disservice to the will and interests of communities and neighborhoods, Web Link.

It seems your readers, as voters, will need to decide if they want corporations and developers to be the only beneficiaries of the 2012 supervisors' elections.

Dear Editor,

You were slow to respond with validation of Joel Keller's actions and intentions. Joel is still considering running and does not support or endorse Mary Piepho for Distrit III supervisor as noted in the information just forwarded to you. Further, campaign management circulating the release noted above refused to provide documentation validating of the claimed withdrawal by Joel and his endorsement of Mary Piepho.

I assume you are waiting for the press release author to validate the release's content?

Well it didn't happen.

Joel Keller, just like Frazier, Agopian, and Clare saw little opportunity to run against Supervisor Piepho. Now that it is over, it is time to stop with the innuendo and accusations and move forward.

Congrats to both Piepho and Glover.
