Sorry to rain on Joan's free pancakes, but nothing's free. It's all that "free" stuff that has us over the barrel financially. Joan and her entitlement crowd are part of the problem.

Well George I hate to rain on your parade as well. I think anything a legislator can do to involve his or her constituents is a positive thing. I don't think pancakes can qualify for quid pro quo? By your comment you have self identified as one of the fringe far right that make ridiculous assertions over just about anything. From free pancakes with a quantum leap of entitlement programs, amazing. Sure hope your not on Medicare George otherwise you'll be choking on those free pancakes.

Sorry Bill... no quantum leaps. People have become desensitized to the true definition of "free". Nothing is free. Nothing. Somebody pays for everything. Someone (likely taxpayers) is underwriting the "free" pancakes. I agree that it's good for politicians to involve their constituents... and I'd stipulate that my objection to her advertising "free pancakes" is somewhat trivial. That said, the notion that things provided by any politician or government entity is "free" is ludicrous. Whether it be pancakes, healthcare, government subsidies for alternative power sources, infrastructure projects, or other... it's not free. Give it some thought... it's worth ponering.
