Score one for the good guys. Too bad they didn't get all four of them.

It would be nice to have a description of the robbers along with the description of the car.

LMP,
I think you know why there was no description of the perpetrators unless no one saw anything. the car according to KTVU, "The other three suspects apparently escaped in a four-door white 90s model sedan. San Ramon police were continuing their search for the suspects late Wednesday evening. I guess the operative word is keep it vague!

It sounds like the store owner was able to defend himself against these thugs. One can only imagine what could have happened if he wasn't armed and the police couldn't get there in time to help the owner and his employee.

That's right, Glenn. When seconds count, the police take minutes.

My guess is; it's ALL on video and accurate descriptions of perps and vehicle are available, as well as pictures. Why this information is not released one can only wonder.

To give you an idea, Bairu is an African last name. You can probably guess a good description from there...

While it really saddens me that the kid was only 18 and it was such an incredible waste of life... my other side wants to get a picture of the guy with a copy of the story and in big letters announce: "Hayward criminal shot dead by San Ramon resident." and poster every lamppost and telephone pole in Hayward.

I resent the idea that these criminals think they can just hop on the freeway, ride to better neighborhoods, and perpetrate violent, criminal acts and just get away with it.

You want to be a violent thug? Stay in your own neighborhood and shoot your own gang homies... Stay the hell out of our neighborhoods. Store owners aren't the only ones who are armed... home owners in good neighborhoods also protect their own turf. Just create a bloodbath in your own cruddy neighborhood and stay the hell out of ours.

(and I'm a bleeding heart liberal... I guess I'm also a Gemini...)

I hate guns and gun violence. But this story makes me hate guns a little bit less.

Could you move those dots a little closer for me Mr. Joe? What's your point? At what stage of an investigation should evidence be released to the public? Are you in law enforcement and/or criminal law? If so...please educate us. If not, what qualifies you to make such moronic remarks?

Hey---Hayward trash-----shoot up your own peeps---it's obvious from no physical description we be suspecting minority criminals.
