In reading this article, I can't help but feel it is ironic that these two same gender couples filed a lawsuit and have continued to commit to the process over the last four years in order to have an opportunity to marry, while I have two in-laws and a brother who had marriages that didn't last just two years.

I've been married for 30 years, and I wish for all couples who love each other and want to make a lifelong commitment, regardless of gender, the same opportunity.

Go online to see the local list of conservative Danville and Alamo voters that donated vigorously to the passage of Prop 8. The Mormon Church heavy handed their members to donate, and it was evident if you peruse the list. Interesting how it is the "churches" that are against social progress, much like the loyal Islamists are doing in Egypt, what with all the gang rapes going on in Egypt and the "Men of the Church" saying it is the womens fault. Read the New York Times today to witness yet another way in which religions spew hate and discrimination. Way to go Mormons! Way to go Catholics! Way to go Islamists! Way to go Protestants!!! And thank you for all great stuff you do do, but you all do some truly evil hateful stuff too... in the name of religion.

Don't miss out on the discussion!
