Re-elect Piepho supervisor

Original post made on May 23, 2008

Supervisor Mary Nejedly Piepho and her former mentor Guy Houston are in an impassioned fight to represent District 3 on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. Piepho has been on a steep learning curve during the last three years in office, the Board is slowly making progress toward solving the problem of the county retirees' benefits, and we say this is not the time to change.

Dear Dolores,

I have always appreciated your sense of humor. This elegantly disguised sarcasm is the ultimate oxymoron.

"Row, Row, Row her Boat" is the Swift Boat song so brightly staged in rich humor among your words.

Outstanding humor!

Dear neighbors,

Wouldn't it be frightening if Dolores wasn't kidding?

Dear neighbors,

This morning, we all enjoyed the humor of an endorsement of the current District 3 Supervisor for re-election to the closed-door politics and abuse of the current board of supervisors. The best part of such humor is that a small conservative minority among voters will believe the humor as sincere.

Laugh loudly, it is simply humor,

Keith

Face it folks, the only thing humorous is your denial that this endorsement is right on target. Just like the other 3 newspapers that endorsed Piepho over Houston. Get to know the candidates. As the CCTimes said, re-electing Piepho is a no brainer.

Houston will say or do anything to save his political career. Unlike Piepho who makes tough decisions in spite of hers. It is called integrity.

Right on informed resident. I don't think Alamo residents will ever be happy with anyone. And to remind them--- Alamo is just one city out of the many in District 3. I can say that the bypass that was recently completed in Antioch has made a lot of people happy
