Welcome home Pfc. James Victor Stanton

Show your support for the troops at an Operation Welcome Home for US Army Pfc. James Victor Stanton at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at 782 Everett Dr., Danville. Stanton is a first born twin and the oldest of three brothers. He played baseball with Danville Little League and CYO basketball at St. Joan. During high school, Stanton was an assistant coach for CYO basketball and on the SRV Men's Varsity basketball team's coaching staff all four years. After graduation in 2008, James attended California State University, Fullerton. During his second year of college, Stanton decided he wanted to do more with his life and serve his country. He enlisted in the US Army, and now he has come back home.

Operation Welcome Home is great. One of my neighbors hosted an event for 3 local returnees. The guys were overwhelmed. No matter how one feels about the global conflicts, those who volunteer to serve should be recognised.
