Alamo Community Foundation Donations

Original post made by Rachel Wells, Alamo, on Jun 15, 2008

Dear Diablo Vista region neighbors,

The Iron Horse neighbors are asking neighbors throughout our region to donate $20 or more per residence before August 1st so sufficient funding to support Alamo Community Foundation is available to pay all Contra Costa LAFCo study costs. Such studies provide basis for all options proposed for local political and planning voice by our region's neighbors. Whether you oppose, support or differ with current incorporation, such studies will serve as financials for all consideration of local political and planning representation.

2,197 neighbors committed to petitioning feasibility studies by signing the Alamo Incorporation Movement petition. Our petition is to determine IF our region could financially become a city. By petitioning Contra Costa LAFCo for feasibility studies, we created the costs of consulting firms to conduct the studies.

Neighbors are being asked to donate ONLY to the costs of studies and not to any effort to incorporate a town of Alamo as described in the AIM incorporation application submitted to Contra Costa LAFCo. Alamo Community Foundation operates separately from AIM and is only a fund raising effort for payment of the studies. REFER to for further information and donation methods.

Corporations, Media. Institutions, Associations and County Unions have been asked to join our neighbors in donating to payment for the feasibility studies and we ask you to join in donation.

Please consider,

Rachel Wells
