Just checking to see if you are paying attention (Smile):

The LAFCO meeting is September 18, Creekside Church, Danville Blvd and La Serena. Come at 4PM to review the various position statements to be circulated by various groups. Incorporation proponents, incorporation opponents, expanded boundary advocates, more defined government advocates, and Walnut Creek annexation advocates will be on-hand with documentation for your consideration.

Like HAL, we were waiting for Aljamo Ron, Informed Resident, Lucy and others to provide commentary during the "quiet period" prescribed by regional politics for incorporation proponents. A "quiet period it is" exclaimed the many neighbors no longer interested in incorporation but entertained by incorporation commentary.

Let us be sure to note that the reprint of LAFCO guidance is sincere and all commentary prior to the September 18 meeting is invited and recommended. Be assured that the decision on incorporation approval has already been made and any submission of information to LAFCO is simply documentation of position without purpose.

To our region's neighbors,

Please read Mr. Chris Kenber's article in the Alamo Today, Chris has been generous in leading AIM's efforts to provide information to our region and has focused a summary on why incorporation makes sense for our region starting with the AIM boundaries. Chris did not define the government proposed so a question remains for voters to determine what they are voting for, but the article creates the issues for discussion that should occur as we all move toward LAFCO's approval planned for September 18.

I am quite sure that Chris, in one-to-one conversations or group discussion, would discuss definition of our government. More importantly, we all have until September 9 to submit formal positions to Ms. Lou Ann Texeira, LAFCO Executive, for inclusion in LAFCO commissioners' discussion on September 18. Appropriately, your submssions to should be copied to so Chris and other AIM committee members can plan their presentations at the September 18 meeting.

It is a great article by Chris and should be reviewed carefully,

Hal Bailey

Let me pretend to be our friend Ron,

We need to all be quiet and let LAFCO decide in our favor that we can be a newly incorporated city (town) in California. The LAFCO commissioners have all input and studies to fairly decide if Alamo (whereever the HAL that is) can be an incorporated town.

I suggest that everyone just hold their comments until after the LAFCO vote and then we can all come together as neighbors to define the town government that will serve us all.

Now, I feel better!

Alamo Ron Sez,

I you don't have anything to say, don't say it. Abiding by this maxim will make you appear to be wise and civilized.

Dear Alamo Ron,

As usual, you had nothing to say and you said it. Once again, a clever and very humorous oxymoron. Applause!

The reality, Ron, is neighborhoods, districts and groups are proceeding with position statements to be placed in LAFCO commissioners' documentation for prior review of incorporation approval consideration, September 18, 2008. Well-considered and counseled positions will present incorporation opposition, definition, annexation and exclusion on behalf of significant numbers of residents. The resulting documentation will be the basis of regulatory, legislative and court actions, if necessary, going forward.

We can all celebrate that our region is populated with very savvy, informed residents.
