Incorporate Alamo or NOT?

Dear Alamo neighbors,

Let's thank Tony and John for pointing to real issues in the Alamo Incorporation Movement (AIM) Study and invite AIM to provide an in-depth community plan that details city structures, services, controls and citizens' oversight. AIM's Chris Kenber, an accomplished business leader, could easily provide such an AIM structured viewpoint and safeguards that would make a contract-services municipality a tax-efficient success.

We can all expect significant changes in Alamo's relationship with Contra Costa County as Guy Houston becomes our District 3 Supervisor. As a result, we need to carefully evaluate reformation of the county and whether we need incorporation.

Speak out, Alamo!

Dear Dolores,

The silence is deafening.

Alamo's community groups that are the basis of the Alamo Incorporation Movement (AIM) are only talking among themselves. Alamo neighborhoods simply have ended their conversations on incorporation.

And now, an incorporation petition will be selectively circulated by AIM to <400 supporters and their neighbors in hopes of gaining enough signatures and donations to create a town council without a PLAN.

Alamo is still holding to its cultural traditions of self-interests and selective relationships. As Alamo meets in factions, privately, we define "Traditions" as the excuses we give for the silly things we do repeatedly.

Smile Alamo,

Hal Pal
