Pineda gets Madden scholarship to Choate

Monte Vista High School student Ale Pineda has been awarded the John Madden Family Scholarship to attend prep school at Choate in Connecticut. Ale played a key role on the Monte Vista football team but was injured in his sixth game against the Cal High Grizzlies. Although his season ended early, he was offered eight college scholarships to play football; he decided to apply to Choate for a post graduate year and was awarded the John Madden Family Scholarship.
