Valentine’s week: spit and vinegar?

Original post made by Tom Cushing, Danville, on Feb 15, 2013

Romantic that I am during this week devoted to love -- set between the birthday celebrations of our two greatest statesmen -- I was hoping for a thaw in the chilly conjugal relations between our two political parties. No such luck. Its two defining events: the State of the Union speech and response, and the Republican Senate filibuster of the President's cabinet nominee, himself a former Republican Senator, continue a flow of events that resembles nothing so much as the former majority party's fortunes, circling the drain.

It's been a long time since I've taken a glance a this column and I guess nothing has changed. Dave is still at it; responding to your columns with his typical hostile, rude remarks and liberal garbage. And...the column is still as boring as ever; written in a style that is only to impress the author and others with the "command" of the English dictionary, but missing the point of getting to the point! Thank goodness you stayed with law; if you had gone been in the journalism field, you would have missed your deadlines and your columns would have been shortened to 200 words or less.

Do you like the blogger-man?
I do not like him -- Ann-in-Dan.
I do not like that blogger-man.
I do not like the points he makes,
I do not like how long he takes,
I do not like big words he'll choose,
I do not like his styling Muse.
I do not like that blogger-man,
I do not like him -- Ann-in-Dan.

And did you read what mean Dave said?
He always has me seeing red.
I do not like that liberal pox.
I much prefer fair, balanced Fox.
I do not like that blogger-man,
I do not like him -- Ann-in-Dan.
In fact, I find his blog so weak,
I do not like him – every week.
