The Give Me Summer! Give Me Books! kick-off event will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at Rakestraw Books. Bestselling and award-winning children's writer Carl Hiaasen will discuss his books and read with children, with a book signing at the end of the event.

Rakestraw's children's event with Carl Hiaasen will be Friday, 21 June 2013 at 6 PM. This is a free event. Adults must be accompanied by a child to attend this event. Reservations are essential.

Our adult event with Carl Hiaasen and his new book, BAD MONKEY, will start at 7 PM. This is a ticketed event. Tickets are $35. Each ticket admits up to two adults and includes one signed copy of BAD MONKEY. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 925-837-7337.
