Collision shuts down freeway

Northbound lanes of Interstate 680 were temporarily shut down this evening as crews removed debris and wreckage after a collision near the Sycamore Valley overpass shortly after 5 p.m. San Ramon Valley firefighters extricated one trapped victim using hydraulic Hurst tools and subsequently transported three patients to area hospitals.
