Voice your concerns about SummerHill at Farmer's Market
Original post made by Concerned in Danville, Danville, on Sep 23, 2011
There's been lots of good chatter here in the Town Square about the opposition to the SummerHill development of the remaining portions of the Magee ranch. It's been useful for getting information out about the concerns lots of residents have over the negative impact this proposed project will have on our community - increased traffic, increased safety risks, more students in already crowded schools, increased flood risks and so on. (For more in-depth info on the project and reasons for opposition to it, please visit www.save-our-creek.com.) But while this chatter is great and all a valuable reflection of our freedom of speech, it's really important for our elected Town Council, those folks that work for us, to hear what we think directly. A great opportunity to do that is each week at the Farmer's Market where our Town Council holds office hours from 9-11am each Saturday morning. So please join me and come to the Farmer's Market to let your Town Council know where you stand. Ask them to stop this project and protect all the great things we love about Danville. See you at the Farmer's market! Let your voice be heard!
