Strong winds leave Danville residents in the dark

Strong winds toppled trees across the Tri-Valley overnight and left more than 2,000 people in Danville without power Monday morning. Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a tree struck a power line in the Iron Horse Trail area near Hemme and La Serena avenues in Danville, knocking out power to about 2,170 customers.

Just to clarify - the Iron Horse Trail near Hemme and La Serena is in Alamo, not Danville. Power was out from Hemme north to at least the Alamo Plaza until 8:15 the next morning, as stated.
