When Mike Conklin, a realtor and father of three sons who knew injured Army Spc. Jake Brown, heard that the young man had no support system locally, he gathered business associates and asked who would help. Every person in the room raised a hand, Conklin recalls.

As the article states, I've been able to see the changes and the growth in these wounded military veterans as Mike Conklin and the Sentinels of Freedom assists them enter back into civilian life. These veterans transition into a productive life because of the assistance given to them. Sentinel of Freedom doesn't "do for the veteran", but assists them.
