Parking rates rise in downtown Walnut Creek

I totally support this, if you are in WC downtown, you are well off and can afford 1$ increase, if not take public transportation or walk.

Thanks for listening.

What a coward.

With regard to the additional parking rates, I agree with Irv... the blood suckers see a way to milk the public and they do it. Sad, but everyone is greedy now-a-days.

American Greed...this is life in America. Yes the current Washington D.C. administration is the cause...

If possible, as a way of protesting, I will avoid Walnut Creek when I can. I remember when WC was in good financial shape and didn't have to resort to things like this! The "over zealous" Meter Maids were bad enough!

Has it ever occurred to you guys that a city owns the streets - including the shoulders and gutters - and has to pay money to maintain them? Parking meters are just a way to make sure that the people who use that portion of the city land pay for it, instead of just letting the most aggressive squatters mooch off the taxpayer's dime all the time.

You "takers" always want to get a freebie, don't you/
