Looks like it's time for a trip on the Wayback machine, kids! Last time a recall like this was announced (way back in March) it was a Central California company with a Hispanic name, remember? And these were the comments posted by our local deep thinkers:

Ann samuelson
Hello? Why would anyone buy a product related to a third world culture?

Julia Pardini
@Ann - very smart observation. I agree.

Dale
I totally agree with the posters who call it the way it is----dirty hiring----dirty products

Greg Mcdougall
Most likely a Mexican company that doesn't practice "diversity" in hiring nor basic cleanliness standards of THIS country.

So here we have a nice, non-Hispanic company with a food recall. What do you suppose the comments of the deep thinkers will be this time?

Oh, and lest you jump to the wrong conclusion, I can assure you, Ann, Julia, Dale and Greg will blast you for any suggestion that they are even the tiniest bit racist. No. They're not racist for making the comments they made - only "realistic." If you suggest otherwise, you're the bad guy. Because you would have "played the race card" by even suggesting that they might be demonstrating even the slightest bit of prejudice.

Because racism is dead in America. Didn't you know that?

Yeah sure, PK, but don't you know that Mexican bacteria are Far worse -- they wear sombreros and bandoliers -- but no steenkin' badges. And most of 'em are here illegally! They're taking good hard-working American infections. No, give me good red-white-and-true-blue American, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, any old day.
