The incident on Benjamin Lane is labeled "petty theft," but the victims distributed a flyer saying the thief entered their house and stole their PlayStation 4 and some sunglasses. They say they know the guy who did it and that he's a punk who's burglarized other homes in the area and drives a white convertible BMW. They say there's video footage of the guy trying to sell the PS4 (same serial number of the stolen PS4) at the GameStop near Blackhawk.

To the Danville PD, if a guy actually entered their house, why didn't you classify this as residential burglary? Lack of evidence indicating unlawful entry?

To the EFF-Wad thief, first of all, if you're going to go through the trouble of illegally entering a home, why steal something as trivial as a PS4 & sunglasses? And why try to sell it so close to where it was stolen? You're obviously a moron. Regardless of the low value of the stolen goods, entering people's homes destroys people's peace of mind, especially kids. Just knowing someone has illegally entered your home can be traumatic for a lot of people.

Finally, I know for a fact that several people in that neighborhood have guns and are not afraid to use them. Not me personally. The last time I shot a gun I was 12 years old in the Boy Scouts. But if I caught you in my house, let's just say you would need some assistance walking out, assuming you could walk at all.
