Reflections on a week of rain

Whew. We got our new roof just in time. We'd put it off year by year, investigating different types and evaluating others in the neighborhood. After losing more shake shingles each time the wind blew, and watching the water splash down in waterfalls at random spots because of the grim condition of our gutters, we knew we could wait no longer. In November we had a new shingle roof put on. Obviously, with this series of storms, we were just in time. Now we are snug as the proverbial bug in the rug. Let it rain!
