It would be really nice if the teachers were to continue to teach on their furlough days so that the kids wouldn't be short changed by the adults lack of budgetary restraint!

Let's ask Steve and Terry if administrators are going to match the four furlough days by taking time off without pay? Then if your readers wish to invite teachers to work those days without pay there will be some equity offered by the administrators by working four days without pay.
That also raises the issue of administrators' raises that are part of their current contracts. May we expect those administrators to defer those raises in respect for teachers' loss of income?

It is funny that you would ask us teachers to continue working on a day we DON'T get paid. Why is it that you always want the teachers to take the hit? With these days off, we take a hit in our salarys.
